This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

Psalms 34:6‭-‬7 ESV

These verses are my testimony. Sometimes I’ve been so distressed and mentally ill that literally instead of praying to God, I’ve just cried. But He heard me. The Spirit intercedes for us with groans that words can’t express.

The Lord has saved me from all my troubles. This doesn’t mean to say I don’t still have troubles. But Christ has overcome them all. In Him I have the victory.

The angel of the Lord is an old testament name for Jesus. He is God’s messenger whose message is love. He encamps around those who fear Him, so we needn’t fear.

Jesus delivers us from all that opposes us, from the world, flesh and devil to sin and death itself. He’s like a mighty hero in whom we enjoy the victory over all our enemies.

“Lord, we praise You for Your deliverance and protection of us. Please hear our cries and deliver us from all our troubles. In Jesus’ name, amen”
